Job Overview

Thrive Therapy of Kansas provides 6 therapies to patients all across Kansas that are on a brain injury waiver. Our services are performed in home, in the community, and at our therapy centers. As one of our Brain Injury Specialists you will be expected to perform a variety of 3 different services, depending on each patient's needs cognitive, behavioral, and transitional life skills. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with a variety of challenges. We like to see our specialists well versed and creative with Cognitive, Behavioral, and Transitional life Techniques to assist our patient's growth. This role is essential in promoting the well-being and development of our clients through patient care, assessment, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavioral, cognitive and transition to life skill strategies to support clients in achieving their personal goals.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and data collection in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with patients, families, caregivers, and our admin team to foster positive relationships and support systems.
  • Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the field of behavioral health and cognitive health.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and patient care practices.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and data collection.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • A background in medical terminology is advantageous.
  • A compassionate approach towards individuals facing behavioral, and cognitive health challenges.
