Cloud Solution Specialist-Azure Stack HCI

Shift- 2 PM- 11 PM

Location:  This is a hybrid opportunity in Delhi NCR(Gurugram/Noida), Bangalore, Hyderabad,Pune area.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI CSS who brings strong hands-on expertise across VMware virtualization, NSX networking, Windows/Linux infrastructure, and modern hybrid cloud operations. The role focuses on designing, deploying, managing, and supporting Azure Stack HCI environments integrated with on-premises datacenters and Azure cloud services.

The ideal candidate has deep understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure, cluster operations, compute/storage/network virtualization, and can operate seamlessly across Azure Arc-enabled services, VMware platforms, and traditional datacenter technologies.

As an  CSS-Azure Stack HCI , you will get to:

• Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI
• Deploy, configure, and manage  Azure Stack HCI clusters , core workloads, and lifecycle operations. 
• Implement  Azure Arc for servers, Kubernetes, and SQL on top of Azure Local infrastructure. 
• Manage software-defined compute, storage, and networking (SDN) on Azure Stack HCI. 
• Configure  Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) , cluster networking, resiliency policies, and performance optimization. 
• Integrate on-prem HCI environments with  Azure Monitor, Defender, Update
• Management, Backup, Site Recovery , and policy controls. 
• Assist in migration planning between VMware and Azure Local for compute/network/storage workloads.
• Seamless workload migration to Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI with end-to-end assessment, planning, and execution.
• Ensures minimal downtime with optimized performance, availability, and cost efficiency during transition.
• VMware & NSX
• Operate and maintain VMware environments including  vCenter, ESXi, vSAN , and VM lifecycle management. 
• Support NSX-T/NSX-V operations—micro-segmentation, overlay networking, distributed firewall policies. 
• On-Prem Datacenter & Hybrid Cloud
• Manage physical servers, storage appliances, network switches, and datacenter-grade infrastructure. 
• Perform patching, configuration compliance, availability monitoring, and capacity planning across hybrid infrastructure. 
• Implement DR and backup strategies aligned with Azure and VMware recovery capabilities. 
• Coordinate with security teams to ensure adherence to compliance frameworks. 
• Modernizes on-prem workloads with faster deployment models, improved scalability, and hybrid cloud readiness.
• Operations, Monitoring & Automation
• Set up end-to-end monitoring using  Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus/Grafana , or equivalent. 
• Automate operational tasks using  PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep , or desired IaC tools. 
• Perform incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes. 
• Maintain CMDB/data accuracy and ensure operational runbooks are up to date

What we’re looking for

• Overall 8 years of industry experience
• Core Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI
• Strong hands-on experience in  Azure Stack HCI deployment, SDN, S2D, cluster management . 
• Azure Arc onboarding and administration skills. 
• Understanding of Azure Local SKU sizing, scale-out, and lifecycle management through  Windows Admin Center . 
• Experience with  VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN operations. 
• Knowledge of  NSX-T/NSX-V , logical routing, distributed firewall rules, micro-segmentation. 
• VM migration strategies: VMware ↔ Azure Local ↔ Azure Cloud. 
• Networking & Security
• Proficiency in VLANs, VXLAN/GENEVE overlays, BGP/OSPF routing, firewall segmentation models.
• Understanding of hybrid connectivity: ExpressRoute, VPN, private peering, SD-WAN.
• Operating Systems & Platform
• Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustering).
• Linux basics for VM management on HCI/VMware. 
• Patch management, update policies, and OS hardening knowledge. 
• Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) 
• Azure Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801)
• VMware VCP-DCV, VCAP, or NSX certifications
• HCI-specific OEM certifications (Dell, Lenovo, HPE)
