Job Description: CPA - Corporate Office for Multi-Store Locations

Position Title : Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Location : Salems Fresh Eats - Corporate Office

Reports To : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Type : Full-time - THIS POSITION WILL IN OFFICE

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our Corporate Office team. The CPA will oversee financial operations across multiple store locations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance, and providing insights that drive operational improvements. This role will be key to helping Salems Fresh Eats maintain financial integrity and achieve its growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis :

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multi-store operations.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting processes for all store locations.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts across the organization.

Accounting Compliance :

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• Oversee tax filings and ensure timely payments and reporting for federal, state, and local taxes.
• Manage external audit processes, ensuring all audit documentation is prepared and provided on time.

Internal Controls and Processes :

• Evaluate and improve internal accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Conduct regular audits of store-level financial operations and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Financial Systems Management :

• Maintain and optimize financial systems and software used across the corporate office and stores.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure the integration of financial systems and data flow between stores and the corporate office.

Cash Flow Management :

• Monitor and analyze company cash flow, ensuring that all stores are financially healthy.
• Provide recommendations on optimizing cash flow and profitability across the locations.

Collaboration and Support :

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and store leaders.
• Assist with training and mentoring accounting staff within the corporate office and stores.
• Support the CFO in strategic decision-making processes, including business expansions or cost-saving initiatives.

Cost Control and Efficiency :

• Analyze cost structures across stores and work with management to reduce operational costs.
• Ensure accurate tracking of all expenses, inventory, and assets across multiple locations.

Other Responsibilities :

• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, accounting standards, and tax law changes.
• Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the restaurant or multi-location retail industry.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and GAAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
