GSK is currently looking for Global Supply Chain Planning Lead to join our Team. The Supply Chain Lead plays an essential role in our Company, having operational E2E accountability for developing a balanced supply plan over the 36-month planning horizon across multiple resources and sites for a franchise subset. The plan should meet commercial ambition through optimization of cost, cash and service levels. As indirect reports, E2E SCL will lead for that purpose, a team of Global Planners through operational/CCC decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a matrix of supply chain professionals to ensure operational targets like inventory, service and cost are met.
  • Collaborates on a regular basis with Planning Managers to define operational requirements from Global Supply Chain Planners
  • Optimize Network planning and End to End supply chain for the Therapy sub-set for the full planning horizon:
    • Ensuring potential supply issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a proactive and timely manner
    • Own, produce and maintain value stream maps for the therapy
    • Developing inventory optimization opportunities (including optimal E2E Configuration, decoupling, parametrization etc.)
    • Supply chain portfolio performance review and supports for improvement to align on business objectives
    • System and data setup and execution of supply chain design
  • Accountable for definition of supply chain scenarios across the Therapy sub-set to support decision making (e.g. for new launches, tenders, capacity changes) and partnering with Planning Managers in HUB on input requirements and output deliverables
  • Accountable for the execution of supply chain design and policies across the Therapy sub-set from manufacturing site to end point of sale
  • Collate all information required for Supply Review Meetings for key internal sites and CMOs within the Therapy (run a brand pre supply review meeting if required). Run Supply Review Meeting for internal sites, support and attend Supplier Review Meeting for CMO and escalate it to Supply Chain Review Meeting and S&OP in line with Core Commercial Cycle process
  • Support Supplier Relationship Manager in development of ways of working with relevant CMOs, ensuring supply contract obligations and customer requirements are met
  • Oversee change processes for the Brand network:
    • New Product Introduction (NPI), New Product Sourcing, Product Transfer, Pack Change, Allocation & Rationing, Divestment, Discontinuation, Tender Requests
  • Escalate service, inventory & cost issues that cannot be resolved within the Therapy sub-set, for example multi-therapy resources that require trade-off
  • Accountable for financial plan for the Therapy Sub-set (net requirements, make plan and inventory targets) and partner with Planning Manager to ensure efficient budget process.
  • Proactively identify, assess and escalate supply chain risks appropriately. Agree and put plans in place to avoid, reduce or transfer the risk.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related degree
  • 2+ years of GMP experience
  • 2+ of supply chain experience

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Senior level experience in supply planning management, preferably in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG environment including interaction with sites, regional commercial operations
  • Knowledge of SC processes and systems in a business environment
  • Advanced analytical skills required
  • People management experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • 1+ years Operational and/or Logistics experience with launching an Oncology NPI Brand 
  • 1+ years' experience with Brand Pedigree Management, incorporating Life Cycle Plan complexity post launch with clear pedigree plans for integrated commercial supply
  • Strategic planning and thinking, system analysis and evaluation
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Foreign language; Advanced English as mandatory, Spanish. French or Italian as desirable
  • Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work well within a team environment and to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong planning skills and project management expertise
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of risk management within the Supply Chain
  • Ability to frame rigorous fact-based analysis to drive decisions
  • Negotiating skills
