Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer with expertise in the food industry to drive process optimization and efficiency improvements. This role is pivotal in leading projects focused on lean manufacturing, implementing automation solutions, and enhancing production workflows. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, offering technical insight and innovative solutions to elevate operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead efficiency improvement projects by analyzing complex production workflows and conducting root cause analyses to boost productivity.
  • Design and implement process modifications and lean manufacturing strategies, including Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cost reduction efforts and address capacity and layout challenges to optimize production processes.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance yields by providing expert guidance on best practices.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess operations, establish process improvements, and develop labor standards.
  • Design efficient workflows to address production bottlenecks, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Enforce safety policies and ergonomic standards across all project phases to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in the poultry/meat processing industry.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in process optimization within the protein industry; poultry manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization tools.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and a proven track record in project administration and internal resource coordination.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and redesigning existing systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments, including office settings and operational areas like processing and hatchery facilities.
