Job Description

First Baptist Church, Prattville, Alabama is a multi-generational congregation that is devoted to the Word, centered on Jesus, committed to one another, and sent on mission. Located in south-central Alabama, the church has a rich history of sharing the gospel and ministering locally, state-wide, nationally, and internationally. The church is a Pastor led, committee driven fellowship, where the Lead Pastor challenges all ministries to live out a Christ-centered vision of praying, growing, giving, going, and serving to the ends of the earth.

In addition to meeting the biblical qualifications for a Pastor/Overseer found in Ephesians 4:11-13, I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and I Peter 5:1-3, the ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiencies in proclamation, pastoral care, and servant leadership. His heart language should call people to repent and believe the Gospel, and he should be a disciple who makes disciples. He should be a Christ-follower who is on mission: living by the Great Commandment, following the Great Commission, and engaging in the Great Pursuit of the nations.
