As a Locum NP/PA in Medical Oncology, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients by providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the oncology field while contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing oncology treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Stay updated on the latest oncology practices and guidelines

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
• Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
• Experience in medical oncology preferred but not required
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: At least 3 days per week, 8a-5p

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Daily Volume: 8-10 patients

Case Types: Head and neck, prostate, breast, skin, melanoma, lung, lymphomas, liver, colon/rectal, sarcoma, ovarian, testicular, gynecologic, neuroendocrine, bladder, kidney, brain, pancreatic, metastatic disease, and non-malignant hematology

Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred but not required

Support Staff: Clinic and infusion RNs, RN navigator, radiation oncologist, dosimetrist, radiation therapist, dietitian, etc.

EMR: Mosaiq/Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
