Job Description

Build reliability that powers a growing, people-first manufacturer

Imagine your first week: you’re partnering with production leads, reviewing a PM calendar, and planning a root-cause dive on a recurring pneumatic issue. By week two, you’ve tightened our changeover checklist, ordered a critical spare through a vendor, and eliminated an air leak that’s cost us unplanned downtime. That’s the impact you’ll make here.

Our culture and momentum

Radius Packaging credits its success to putting people first—members and customers. Celebrating our 52nd anniversary, we foster collaboration, innovation, and hard work. We create community through events, education, committees, clubs, and programs that support your financial, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. We were honored with the Plastics News Excellence in Employee Relations Award and named a 2024 Top Workplace by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Your schedule and rewards

  • 3-2-2 rotational schedule with Day (7:00am–7:00pm) and Night (7:00pm–7:00am) options
  • $1,000 sign-on bonus — Rehires are not eligible, and the bonus cannot be paid through a recruiting agency.
  • Quarterly bonuses and PTO
  • Competitive salary with benefits eligibility
  • Holiday and team member birthday/anniversary celebrations with free meals and snacks
  • Growth in a collaborative, friendly environment where everyone matters

How you’ll elevate reliability

  • Lead with safety: follow OSHA and company standards—LOTO, GMP, Arc Flash, PPE, housekeeping.
  • Diagnose and repair plastics manufacturing assets: blow molding machines, auxiliary systems, and robots.
  • Use blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs to solve mechanical problems.
  • Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems/plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Install/repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and robots.
  • Partner with outside vendors to source spare parts and supplies.
  • Own weekly/monthly/annual PMs and EHS inspections; locate and repair air leaks.
  • Keep a tidy, organized workspace; uphold GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality requirements.
  • Support cross-functional projects and open tasks to drive plant-wide success.

Qualifications that fit

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent). Minimum five (5) years related manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; at least 1 year of technical processing, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Proven strength in mechanical systems plus solid understanding of electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs; advanced troubleshooting instincts.
  • Independent, self-sufficient, and productive with little supervision; reliable and punctual.
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions and corrective actions to oncoming shift and supervisors; collaborate respectfully across teams.
  • Active contributor to safety, quality, production, continuous improvement, and healthy employee relations.
  • Professional, respectful, and team-oriented; committed to a clean, well-maintained facility.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); Apple iPad experience preferred.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs and working in both warm and cool temperatures.
