Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in automation and scripting, and adaptability are essential for supporting a dynamic and security-focused environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable network solutions that support business objectives, remote workforce needs, and security best practices.
  • Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Enforce network security by configuring firewalls, encryption protocols, and secure remote access solutions; ensure adherence to cybersecurity and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to respond to incidents, develop network recovery strategies, and integrate secure network solutions with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace.
  • Perform network audits, analyze traffic patterns, and make proactive recommendations to optimize network performance, bandwidth usage, and security.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge continuity and support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Leverage automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python) to streamline configuration management, improve efficiency, and reduce the potential for manual errors.

  • Experience with cloud networking and integration (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) to support hybrid or cloud-based network environments.
  • Knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell) to streamline processes and reduce manual configurations.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with security-focused certifications or frameworks (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) to reinforce network security protocols and practices.
  • Experience with advanced network monitoring tools and proactive alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience, or minimum 5 years experience in addition to one of the identified certifications.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are preferred.
