Appliance Delivery Driver and Installer Team
Job description:
We are looking for experienced Box Truck Drivers and Helpers with experience in in home delivery service.
The Home Appliance Installer is responsible for the delivery and installation of gas and electric household appliances such as: washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwasher, ranges, wall ovens, microwave into new and existing residential homes, as well as some businesses. This position ensures the appliances are installed properly without damage to the product or the home that they are installed according to manufacturer’s specifications and are fully functioning upon departure.
You will be a self-motivated, high character individual that brings a positive “can do” attitude to every phase of their position.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BOTH DRIVER AND HELPER:
• Deliveries, installations, repairs/replacements, and pick-ups on a route organized for you to efficiently move from place to place.
• Delivering and installing new Appliance and customers home and Hauling away the old one.
• Load and unload truck by hand or by use of a hand truck or two-dolly.
• Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against paper manifest and eTrack App
• Read GPS maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Deliver and stack merchandise on customer premises.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
• Unload and verify all returning product with the appropriate check- in personnel.
• Accurately count and deliver orders; always keep account of merchandise Will assist in the delivery of appliance in multiple environments and weather conditions.
• Assist/perform basic installation of major home appliance (washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, etc.).
• Responsible for ensuring on-time and professional deliveries to our customer homes
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
• Must have 1 year of previous experience driving box trucks
• Must have 1 year of installation experience
• Must have Strong work ethic and the physical ability to lift heavy equipment as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent (preferred)
