Job Description

A well-established Private Equity firm is seeking a Senior Associate to be a key player in their Washington D.C. office. Having successfully raised a handful of funds and with over $2 billion in assets under management and growing, this role offers the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on transaction experience as well as operational experience. As the Senior Associate, you will be an integral member in the growth of this office and there is opportunity to take on a long-term leadership role. You'll focus on leading investments across industrials, business services, and consumer, and you will have the opportunity to mentor more junior team members. This is a fantastic career-track opportunity with a relatively quick path to upside.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management, with a focus on companies in the industrial, business services and consumer verticals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal and senior team members to analyze and execute transactions.
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships to generate proprietary deal flow.
  • Play a key role in the monitoring and strategic growth of portfolio companies, with an emphasis on value creation.
  • Lead deal-related analysis, financial modeling, and presentations for investment committee review.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years in Investment Banking and 1-3 years of experience with a reputable Private Equity firm.
  • Strong track record of transaction experience, ideally within industrial, business services, consumer, or related sectors in the middle market.
  • Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • A desire to advance within a growing firm and an interest in taking on increasing responsibility.
