Description:

The Department of Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPS) in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Houston is accepting applications for a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor position, available immediately. The department is nationally and internationally recognized for research in drug discovery and development, experimental therapeutics, and pharmaceutical sciences.

The selected candidate will participate in research work in Dr. Diana Chow's laboratory focused on job duties in following areas:
1. Research (85%) : Participate in funded projects as assigned with the faculty’s expertise and experiences, in LC-MS/MS Bioanalysis, CCD systematic approach to develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations, preclinical PK/PD in healthy and diseased rodent models, and generation of orthotopic mouse models for TNBC, HCC and PDAC. PK/PD modeling.
2. Teaching (7%): May participate with limited lecture in graduate courses of pharmacokinetics, advanced drug delivery, and regulatory affairs. Coordinating with guest lecturers in these courses.
3. Services (8%): Assisting in PI's supervision to the current 8 Ph.D. graduate students on logistics and following up of students’ assignments. May serve as a dissertation committee member.

Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related biomedical field
2. Extensive experiences in the research areas of LC-MS/MS Bioanalysis, CCD systematic approach to develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations, preclinical PK/PD in healthy and diseased rodent models, generation of orthotopic mouse models for TNBC, HCC and PDAC, and PK/PD modeling
