Midland Care is hiring for a Resource Specialist for our thriving Meals on Wheels program!
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Resource Specialist to support our Meals on Wheels program, which currently serves 1000 meals a day to seniors in our community. In this role, you will conduct home visits with Meals on Wheels clients and their families to assess their needs to continue living independently at home. Utilizing assessment information, you will identify and coordinate resources within Midland Care and the community to enhance the well-being of aging clients in their homes. Additionally, you will assist with annual program assessments, maintain client files, address home-delivery issues, and provide ethical expertise as necessary.
Employment Status: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Rate starts at $20.86/hr. (pay is based on requirements and like experience.)

Required: Education requirement of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, in social work or related field. Other degrees or work experience may be considered on an individual basis, taking into account the applicant's experience and skills. Good knowledge of social services and community resources for senior citizens. Capacity to communicate with people representing vast differences of professional, cultural, social, and economic backgrounds and ages. Must have a current Kansas or Missouri driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle for daily visits. Must have in effect auto insurance and must continue to meet insurability standards throughout their employment.
