The Work
Serve the Engineering and Product Management teams to successfully manage our agile methodology to deliver business value iteratively. Emphasizing collaboration, adaptability, and transparency with Engineering and Product Management to achieve high-quality software solutions.
As a Scrum Master, you will play a vital role in facilitating the scrum process and ensuring the team's success in delivering high-quality software products. You will work closely with members of cross-functional teams such as software development managers, developers, QA, product owners, and other stakeholders, to drive efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills, influencing behaviors, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies. This is a remote position.
This is done through working in these areas of focus:
Facilitate Agile Process (30%):
- Act as a servant-leader for software development teams, guiding and coaching them in adopting and implementing agile principles and scrum practices.
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and progress tracking.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes commitment, predictability, transparency, self-organization, and accountability.
- Assist software development managers in providing visibility into the team's velocity, sprint burndown, and other relevant metrics to enable data-driven decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into the team's work and progress. These updates are in various forms based on the audience to include written, verbal, presentation, and dashboard.
Agile Process Management (25%):
- Ensure the team adheres to scrum practices and processes and continuously improves them as needed.
- Coach the team on agile techniques and encourage adherence to agile engineering practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Identify opportunities for process enhancement, and work with the team to implement appropriate changes.
- Actively seek feedback and apply lessons learned from previous sprints to drive iterative improvement.
Team Support (20%):
- Support the scrum team in achieving their objectives by removing obstacles or impediments hindering progress and help them make decisions autonomously.
- Help the team maintain focus and ensure adherence to scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaboration and Communication (15%):
- Facilitate meetings to promote understanding, alignment, and decision-making.
- Act as a mediator in resolving conflicts and promoting a positive team culture.
Project Management Leadership (10%):
- Drive timely completion of projects through meeting project milestones and effective management of risk.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between the entire project team, key stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members.
- Leverage influencing skills to gain buy-in and commitments from all stakeholders.
- Conflict management
- Highly skilled at developing trust and rapport and re-establishing any breaks in rapport rapidly.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will have this experience:
- Deep understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability and desire to influence not only your team but larger company systems.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, promote collaboration, and resolve conflicts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work well under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Office 365).
Preferred Experience:
- 3-5+ year experience working as a Scrum Master on software development teams.
- BA degree in related field preferable.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (PSM). PMP desirable.
Target Outcomes/ Target Results
- Provide ongoing support for project teams by removing impediments and assisting the team in maintaining responsibility to the agile methodology.
- Ensure consistent and predictable delivery of business value through repetitive completion of scrum process.
- Maintain and assist in providing performance KPIs for the scrum teams that represents continued improvement of the scrum process.

This is a role with high visibility across the organization including C-Suite interaction and communications. This role reports to the Director of Program Management who understands the engineering organization and other internal business organizations that support the engineering team. Compensation and Benefits
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, monthly, quarterly, or annual incentive and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with Company match and a flexible paid time off plan.
Target Base salary range is $100k- $115k + annual performance-based bonus.
