About the role, Your Impact

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The Senior Staff Accountant will assist in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate audits and general ledger activities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment. What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

  • Manage and monitor the day-to-day processing of cash flow operations and reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Provide accounts receivable review.
  • Maintain and manage credit card program.
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close out process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Preparation of financial reporting and analysis of financial statements.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure collection and payouts of shareholder transactions.
  • Prepare and file use tax filings and payments; FIT and SIT quarterly payments.
  • Manage and maintain W2 and vendor 1099 process.
  • Assist in overseeing the administration and reconciliation of 401(k) accounts.
  • Assist with budgeting process.
  • Perform payroll review, journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with company insurance.
  • Collaborate with Facilities to manage the company’s leases and generate annual financial reports detailing the costs associated with each location.
  • Produce financial reports for the Vice President of Finance and Board of Directors.
  • Propose key performance benchmarks to evaluate the company’s success and training needs.
  • Assist in monthly compliance of filing quarterly and annual reports on taxes, payroll and retirement benefits.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Accounting department.
  • Mentor the Accounting team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Must-haves, what you will bring

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
