Job Description
We are excited to welcome a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to our team! The ideal candidate will play an essential role in providing speech and language therapy to students from PreK to 12th grade. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping students improve their communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Develop personalized therapy plans and set specific goals based on each student's needs.
Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on areas like articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure students' communication goals are met in the classroom and other educational environments.
Use evidence-based techniques and creative therapeutic activities to enhance speech and language development.
Track and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve the best results.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering insights into students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Previous experience providing therapy in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic methods commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, and educators.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Experience in teletherapy or online counseling is a plus.
Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies is preferred.

While working remotely, this position involves sitting for extended periods and using a computer keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software.
