Your Opportunity: Make a Difference Remotely
As a Remote SLP, you'll have the chance to provide essential speech and language therapy services to students, helping them achieve their full potential. You'll work with a supportive team and utilize your expertise to create personalized therapy plans and make a positive impact on students' lives.
What You'll Be Doing:
Remote Therapy: Provide remote speech therapy services to students, utilizing teletherapy platforms.
IEP Development: Assist in developing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet individual student needs.
Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, planning events, and other relevant meetings.
Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
Therapy Implementation: Work directly with students to implement IEP goals and objectives.
Assistive Technology: Evaluate, implement, and monitor augmentative communication devices.
Instruction: Plan and provide clear, focused instruction based on individual student IEP goals.
Learning Environment: Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment.
Parent Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community.
Documentation: Maintain and process accurate records and documents.
Direct Classified Staff: Direct the work of assigned classified staff.
Compliance: Implement and comply with district policies and professional conduct.

What We're Looking For:
ASHA Certification: Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
State Licensure: Valid state-issued license to practice speech-language pathology in your state.
Washington Licensure: Valid Washington state SLP license and Washington Educational Staff Associate Credential (or willingness to obtain).
Experience: Ability to address a variety of speech/language deficits.
Assistive Technology: Current knowledge of assistive technology.
Knowledge: Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations.
Skills: Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Technology Proficiency: Ability to operate technology devices and software programs.
Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Transportation: Valid state driver's license or reliable transportation.
Work Details:
Location: Remote (Washington).
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, aligning with the school calendar.
Caseload: 50-58 students with on-site para support.
Travel: Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
