SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Tax Preparer for its client in Allen Park, MI. This person will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns and can work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role will also include scheduled face-to-face meetings with clients to review and prepare their returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare individual short-form tax returns (1040) accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a high-volume workload of up to 1,000 returns during the tax season.
• Conduct in-person client appointments to gather information, review documents, and complete tax filings.
• Input, verify, and maintain tax-related data in the designated software system.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and company policies.
• Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client tax liabilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information and documents.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear explanations of return details to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in individual tax preparation is required.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload during peak season.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software, including Thomson Reuters Tax Software.
• Experience with similar tools such as Drake Tax, Lacerte Tax, or CCH Axcess Suite is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
