Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Sacramento, California. This role will focus on preparing accurate and timely individual and corporate tax returns while ensuring compliance with current tax regulations. Responsibilities: - Prepare individual and corporate tax returns with precision and adherence to regulatory guidelines. - Review financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before tax filing. - Utilize Lacerte Tax Software effectively to manage tax preparation tasks. - Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance. - Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify tax-related concerns. - Identify potential tax savings opportunities and recommend strategies to clients. - Ensure all documentation complies with federal and state tax requirements. - Assist in resolving tax-related issues and discrepancies as they arise. - Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation. - Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns. - Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations. - Experience using Lacerte Tax Software or similar tools. - Ability to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy in tax filings. - Excellent communication skills for client interactions. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role.
