Vice President, Investment Banking at TD Securities (USA) LLC, New York, NY (F/T) JOB DUTIES: Lead investment banking activities and deal processes for client transactions. Delegate work and assign tasks such as researching and analyzing clients financial situations to Analysts and Associates. Provide subject matter expertise in accounting within a deal team that is responsible for providing structure, transactional, and related professional support, to assist in maximizing profitability through sound and well-informed decisions. Examine and interpret financial records to identify potential areas of opportunity and risk review, to guide business decision making for asset management. Construct detailed merger consequences and other financial analysis. Review and analyze client accounting records to calculate key metrics and performance trends. Analyze financial statements to determine historical usage of different debt products, derivative contracts, and foreign currency exposure to evaluate future considerations and financing options. Perform evaluations on private and public companies, leveraging accounting statements to value a companys assets and liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, to determine growth perspectives. Evaluate clients financial situations, identify risks and challenges, and make best-practices recommendations to management. Explain findings through written reports and presentations to organization managers and/or clients. Prepare external client proposals, internal underwriting memos, and presentations for clients. Analyze industry and market data using market data providers including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and Macabacus. Prepare presentation materials and participate in and lead meetings with key clients and other stakeholders. Work closely with and lead junior colleagues to ensure accuracy, and train and develop team members. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as Associate, or related position involving investment banking. Full term of experience must include: Financial analyses for investment banking deals/transactions; Accounting principles, including US GAAP and IFRS; and, Quantitative methods used in financial analysis and investment decision-making. Experience must include at least three (3) years in each of the following: Assessing value of private and public companies using methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), public comparable, and precedent transaction methods; Financial statement analysis and M&A modeling; Bloomberg; Market structures and economics growth factors; Structuring and delivering high impact presentations for clients; Project management in investment banking, including overseeing valuations assessments of private and public companies and managing the delivery of high impact presentations, and maintaining client relationships and maintaining adequate communications throughout the progress of deals; Liaising and/or interacting with clients at all levels, including executives (e.g., CFO); Training and mentoring junior team members; Providing expertise and support to senior coverage team members in execution of transactions and deal structure; and, Recommending and generating ideas for transactions and revenue generation. Telecommuting may be permitted within commuting distance pursuant to company policy. Up to 25% travel required for client and internal meetings internationally and domestically.
