Job Description

We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for a Warehouse Cargo Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client in a Cargo facility. We are looking for ambitious & detail-oriented individuals to perform faced paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision.  Cargo Agents  will contribute to the timely delivery of cargo shipments for our business to the customer delivery system while operating safely and securely. We perform at the highest level for our customers every day and strive to be an exceptional leader in our industry with our teams of cargo and warehouse experts across our Express locations. We are looking for a reliable,  ambitious, detail-oriented individual to perform faced paced warehouse cargo work under supervision. 

Responsibilities:

• Unload cargo containers (ULD) from aircraft within confined areas
• Build Pallets 
• Read "off-load" sheets to determine the destination of cargo.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Frequently moves cargo in the warehouse weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the warehouse and office to access cargo shipments and airway bills.

Work Environment:

• Sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures. 
• Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
• Workspaces may not be temperature-controlled.
• Work near/ share same workspace with others.
• Often work indoors but may sometimes work outdoors. 

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar role required
• Valid Driver’s license required 
• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays. Peak Season (November-December) may require longer hours 
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language 
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids

Shift hours:

Operation-Monday to Sunday

2nd shift 3:30pm - 12:00 am

Need to be flexible working different days or shift.

Pay Rate: 

2nd shift pays $19.00 an hour
