HF Sinclair located in Artesia, NM is seeking a #1 Welder. (The Company reserves the right to hire a #2 in the event that a #1 is not available) The schedule is Monday thru Friday. Overtime as well as weekend on-call rotation is required.
Candidates must demonstrate a working knowledge of welding skills and must satisfactorily complete certification on the following procedures: Carbon Steel SMAW (manual stick rod), Low Alloy GTAW (heli-arc), Stainless Steel GTAW (heli-arc). Test results will be based on 100% radiography to B31.3 Severe.
High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent. Must complete a comprehensive written pre-employment examination. A comprehensive physical examination must be satisfactorily completed. A DRUG SCREEN IS PART OF THE PHYSICAL.
Welder must be knowledgeable in piping layout, fabrication, and use of plasma and air arc cutting machines. Other duties required will be pipefitting, and in general any duties required to support and contribute to an efficient maintenance organization. Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly and efficiently, ability to multi-task and cope with several problems or projects at the same time. Make decisions and take responsibility.
Manuel dexterity requirements include climbing to heights exceeding 100’, working in close confined spaces, and wearing of respiratory protective equipment. (No Beards).
