Job Summary
Aerial Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting and Payroll Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role involves managing financial transactions in and out, overseeing payroll processing, managing benefit plans, ensuring compliance with state/federal tax filing requirements, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience with QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar software, and excellent organizational skills. This position allows flexibility to work remotely while requiring in-office presence at our Cedar Falls/Waterloo location(s) at least one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Categorize and reconcile financial transactions and bank statements.
  • Prepare monthly preliminary financial reports for management review.
  • Generate and send invoices and manage bill payments efficiently.
  • Approve and audit payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Comply with state and federal payroll tax filing requirements using applicable software.
  • Oversee payroll, timesheets, and all required reporting processes.
  • Manage employee expenses and reimbursements, ensuring timely processing.
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including payroll setup, benefit enrollment, and related documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute year-end documents such as W-2s and other necessary reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in the office at least one day per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role with demonstrated success.
  • Experience with employee onboarding and enrollment procedures.
  • Familiarity with employee expense management and reporting.
