Position: Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Type: Part-Time (Certain times of the year Full-Time/Overtime)
Department: Finance
Reports to: Finance Director

About Us:

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, Inc. is a dynamic non-profit 501(c)(3) committed to promoting the sport of ballooning, the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico, nationally and internationally. We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team.

Job Purpose:

The Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper is responsible for all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions and works with the Finance Director to ensure all payments and payouts are accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments
• Responsible for processing all Accounts Receivable transactions as received
• Reconciliation of all credit card transactions and statements
• Works with the Finance Director to ensure all payments and payouts are accurately distributed during the event
• Other responsibilities as needed during the event and throughout the year

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of prior bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data
• Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
