Job Title: Nurse EducatorJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator for our Cardiac Specialty Clinic (outpatient hospital). The ideal candidate will educate patients on their next steps, manage scheduling, and communicate effectively with both providers and patients. This role involves submitting orders from patient visits, including lab tests and medications. The position is primarily phone and computer-based, with minimal direct patient interaction. Responsibilities Educate patients on their next steps post-visit. Submit orders from patient visits, including lab tests and medications. Schedule follow-up appointments and confirm test times. Communicate effectively with providers and patients. Perform phone work and computer tasks (80%). Handle patient orders, updates, scheduling, check-out, and education (20%). Essential Skills Cardiology Cardiac telemetry Electronic health record management Scheduling Patient education Registered Nurse - Missouri BLS certification Knowledge in cardiovascular procedures and surgery Experience with EKG readings Additional Skills & Qualifications Open to varying years of experience Missouri Nurse License Medication knowledge Experience in patient education Telemetry expertise Team-oriented Reliable Work Environment The role is based in a family-oriented and supportive environment, promoting autonomy and teamwork. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with an average of 22 patients per day. The clinic fosters a great culture where everyone helps each other.
