Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Packaging Supervisor to join our team.

The responsibility of a Packaging Supervisor is to ensure all products are packed safely and efficiently and maintain a sanitary environment which meets all food safety regulations. Train new hires on proper production procedures and lead a small team.

The following is a list of duties and responsibilities, this is not all inclusive list:

• Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications
• Oversees start ups for daily production .
• Assisting with the creation of and revising the weekly production schedule.
• Troubleshoot machine troubles / assist maintenance when necessary
• Trains workers in operation of equipment
• Ensure proper training of new hires.
• Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations.
• Ensure production schedules are met
• Monitor and recommend improvements to process and develop and maintain all packing orders effectively
• Coordinate with quality to ensure proper food safety procedures are being followed.
• Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure proper components are delivered in a timely manner.
• Enter daily batch reconciliation reports into the inventory management system.
• Verify production information is accurate
• Performs other duties as described

Education & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing facility
• Previous supervisory experience
• Fishbowl inventory management system is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to hot temperatures
• Continuous standing throughout the 8hr shift
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs
• Use tools and equipment, including knives/ box cutters, ladders, step stool, and pallet jacks
