Job Overview
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the HVAC manufacturing
and distribution center operations. This includes managing production, inventory, logistics, and workforce
efficiency to ensure the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Site Manager will
lead cross-functional teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure that production and distribution
activities align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Leadership and Operations
Oversee daily operations of both the manufacturing and distribution center to ensure seamless
production and delivery processes.
Develop and implement strategies to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), including
production output, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align site objectives with overall company goals.
2. Production Management
Ensure production schedules are met by effectively managing resources, including personnel,
equipment, and materials.
Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and product
quality.
Address and resolve production bottlenecks and issues.
3. Distribution and Logistics Management
Oversee distribution center operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and
order fulfillment.
Ensure accurate and efficient inventory control processes, minimizing stock discrepancies and
optimizing warehouse layout.
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and minimize
transportation costs.
4. Team Leadership and Development
Lead and manage cross-functional teams across manufacturing and distribution departments.
Recruit, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
5. Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety by implementing robust safety protocols and conducting regular
audits.
Oversee the site’s compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
6. Budget and Financial Management
Develop and manage the site’s operating budget, focusing on cost control and efficiency.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Analyze financial data to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and operational
improvements.
7. Continuous Improvement
Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction using
lean manufacturing principles.
Implement best practices across production and distribution operations to achieve operational
excellence.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the site competitive and
innovative.
8. Communication and Reporting
Serve as the primary point of contact for the site, providing regular updates to the Manufacturing
or Logistics Director.
Prepare and present reports on site performance, including production metrics, inventory levels,
safety records, and budget adherence.
Collaborate with other departments, including quality, engineering, and customer service, to
address operational challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering,
Supply Chain, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics management, with at least 3
years in a leadership role.
Strong experience in HVAC or a similar manufacturing and distribution environment.
Proven track record of driving operational excellence and managing cross-functional teams.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and distribution processes, including lean principles and ERP
systems.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on motivation and performance
management.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with
stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
